Since its beginning in 1909 OSI industries otherwise known as OSI group has been killing it in the food industry. In fact it today ranks as a top global food processing company. Similar to any starter company, OSI has a very humble beginning. Notably, the company began as a neighborhood butcher shop under the leadership of a German immigrant in Chicago during the early 20th century. The company has encountered enormous growth since it shifted to begin a food processing companies. Firstly, it has grown to have a lot of customers in the United States of America and internationally. This explains the presence of many branches of OSI across the globe. The current number of OSI is estimated as being over 20,000 with at least 65 offices in nearly 17 countries.

In 2016, Forbes under the top private companies in the U.S listed OSI Industries in top 100. Particularly, the company by ten ranked at position 5 with a net worth of $6.1 billion. If a similar analysis is to be conducted today, speculations are that the company would rank among the top 10 with a relatively higher net worth. This is because the more the years pass by, the more the company continues to grow and shine. David graduated from the Iowa State University (ISU) with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He has won several awards including Wallace E. Barron during his time as a student. Professionally, McDonald holds a chief executive position in private in a well performing private company- OSI industries. He is also a financial supporter of Alpha Gamma Rho scholarship.
